Christmas Lighting in Oak Hill
Oak Hill is large-lot, low-density and quiet, and the houses are set well back. Displays here are built around the approach as much as the house.
One Price, Start to Finish
Design, custom-cut commercial-grade product, insured installation, in-season repairs, takedown and off-season storage are all included in a single price. Nothing on that list is billed as an extra later. See how the six-stage process works.

Local Knowledge
Large Lots, Long Drives, Rolling Ground
Oak Hill properties along the Franklin Pike corridor and the streets off it tend to sit on several acres of rolling ground with the house well back from the road. At that distance a roofline reads as a thin bright line and not much else. The displays that actually work here start at the road and build inward: drive lining, entry, columns, then the elevation.
The ground itself is a factor. Rolling terrain means the house is often above or below the road, so a display designed on a flat drawing can sit at the wrong angle to the viewer. We look at the property from the street first and design to that sightline.
Mature hardwoods on these lots give you the scale that the setback takes away. A handful of properly lit specimen trees will do more for an Oak Hill frontage than doubling the roofline footage.
- Multi-acre lots and deep setbacks
- Drive, gate and entry lighting
- Sightline-first design on rolling ground
Planning the Install
Lighting the Approach on a Multi-Acre Lot
On an Oak Hill property the approach is the display. With the house set several hundred feet back off the Franklin Pike corridor, the roofline is a thin bright line at that distance and nothing more. What actually reads from the road is the gate, the drive, the entry and the trees, so that is where the design starts and the roof is where it finishes.
Lining a long drive is a power and control problem as much as a design one. Circuits have to reach the road end, timers need to be somewhere reachable in the dark, and the load has to be planned rather than discovered. On several acres that is a survey job, not an estimate.
Rolling ground changes the sightline in a way drawings do not capture. An Oak Hill house may sit noticeably above or below the road, which means a display balanced on paper can point past the viewer entirely. We look at the property from the road first, at night where we can, and design to that angle.
Tree selection is where the leverage is. Two or three correctly chosen specimen hardwoods near the road will do more for an Oak Hill frontage than doubling the roofline footage, for less money and less time on a ladder.
- Design starts at the gate, not the roof
- Drive circuits, load and timers surveyed
- Specimen trees chosen for the road sightline

Frequently Asked Questions
Our house sits well back from the road. How do you handle that?
We design from the street inward. Drive lining, entry and lit specimen trees carry an Oak Hill frontage, with the roofline finishing it rather than doing all the work.
Do you cover the whole of Oak Hill and the surrounding area?
Yes, along with Forest Hills, Brentwood, Green Hills and the rest of the Nashville area. Call and we will confirm your address.
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
On a multi-acre Oak Hill lot the approach is usually the larger share of the quote. Drive lining length, the circuit runs to reach the road end, and how many specimen trees you light move the number far more than roof footage does. Call (615) 595-9686.
