Christmas Lighting in Green Hills
Green Hills has been rebuilding itself house by house for years, which means neighbouring properties can need completely different designs.
One Price, Start to Finish
Design, custom-cut commercial-grade product, insured installation, in-season repairs, takedown and off-season storage are all included in a single price. Nothing on that list is billed as an extra later. See how the six-stage process works.

Local Knowledge
Two Generations of House on the Same Street
It is normal in Green Hills for a 1950s ranch with a long low eave to sit directly next to a new custom build with a steep multi-gable roof and a two-story entry. Those are opposite lighting problems. The ranch needs layering to avoid reading flat; the new build needs careful plane-by-plane cutting so the line does not break at every junction. A company running one standard package does one of them badly.
The terrain adds to it. Lots off the Hillsboro Pike corridor slope, sometimes steeply, so a display that looks balanced on paper can sit oddly against the grade. We design to how the house is actually seen from the street rather than to the elevation drawing.
Green Hills also gets a lot of traffic through December. Clean, consistent, correctly cut work is worth more here simply because more people see it.
- Mid-century and new-build rooflines
- Sloped and graded lots
- Plane-by-plane custom cutting
Planning the Install
Traffic, Changing Streets and Getting In Early
Green Hills gets busier through December than almost anywhere else we work. The retail traffic around the Hillsboro Pike corridor makes access harder every week of the season, which is a scheduling problem before it is a design one. We install here early and start the design conversation earlier still.
The housing stock is also a moving target. This is a neighbourhood that has been rebuilt house by house for years, and it is common for a property we lit two seasons ago to have gained a dormer, an extension or an entirely new roof since. We remeasure returning Green Hills homes rather than pulling last year's cut sheet off the shelf, because a strand cut for the old elevation will not fit the new one.
Sloped lots change the physical work as well as the look. Ladder footing on a graded front lawn needs proper setting, and the crews here are insured and equipped for that rather than improvising on uneven ground.
Because neighbouring houses are so different in age and roof form, consistency within your own elevation is what makes a display look deliberate. One colour temperature, one bulb spacing, one clean line, whatever the roof is doing.
- Early install scheduling around December traffic
- Returning homes remeasured, not reused
- Proper ladder setting on graded lots

Frequently Asked Questions
Our Green Hills lot slopes. Does that affect the design?
It does, and it is worth accounting for. We design to how the house reads from the street on the actual grade, not to a flat elevation, so the display looks level from where people see it.
We just built. Can you light a new multi-gable roof cleanly?
Yes. Each roof plane is measured and cut separately, which is what keeps the line continuous through every change in direction instead of gapping at the junctions.
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
Green Hills quotes vary widely street to street because the houses do. A 1950s ranch needing layered lighting and a new multi-gable build needing plane-by-plane cutting price differently even side by side. Slope affects access time too. Call us on (615) 595-9686.
