The first thing we do on a Forest Hills property is stand in the road. On lots this wooded, off Old Hickory Boulevard and Granny White Pike, the view of the house from the street is often a few gaps between mature hardwoods rather than a clear elevation. The display has to be designed for what is actually visible from those gaps, which is rarely what the front of the house looks like up close.
